“My sinus issues (minor deviated septum) became worse after moving from Manhattan Beach CA to Monument CO. The elevation and dryness of Colorado air along with my increased air travel for business made me dread the first few days back in CO after a trip. I have tried a few things like humidifiers to moisten the air, saline spray, various meds like Flonase to reduce nasal swelling and decongestants. One ENT suggested surgery, but second and third opinions said no. A few years went by and in frustration I went to National Jewish in Denver for their opinion, which again ruled out surgery. They suggested the Neil Med nasal washes 2 x days. This was an improvement over saline spray, but the water pik system (he calls it hydro pulse) from Dr Murray Grossan that Walter Ballenberger referred me to has made the most difference. You can get information on the hydro pulse and sinus disease from Dr Grossan here. Good Luck!- Bruce Langdon.” I happen to be acquainted with Bruce’s wife Naomi, as we both attend exercise classes at our local fitness center. She told me that prior to trying this system, Bruce was even talking about moving from Colorado to a different location. To think that one’s sinus problems could be so miserable as to make a person uproot their homes is pretty drastic. I appreciate Bruce’s comments and the fact that the natural sinus remedy irrigation system has helped him, and I hope others can benefit from the advice on this site as well. It should be pointed out that the Neil Med nasal system that was recommended to Bruce by the doctors at National Jewish in Denver is a squeeze bottle system. In subsequent emails to Bruce I explained that I had tried this system as well, as it is easy to do when on travel. Although this is another type of natural sinus remedy, I found that it didn’t work anywhere nearly as well as the pulsating system. Bruce agreed with me on this. There is no silver bullet that works for everyone’s sinus problems. If you, like me, have had treatment for years by specialists, or even operations (I’ve had two of them, both very painful), and continue to come down with sinus infections, it is certainly worth the small investment to try a natural sinus remedy, pulsating nasal irrigation.
